Ignore him, he's from Barcelona
Feb. 12th, 2009 06:29 pmSo here I am in Barca for all of 36 hours. Up at 5am this morning to get the nightbus to Heathrow, and then the 7.25 BA flight which, amazingly, took off almost on time and landed 30 minutes early!
The time here is highly scheduled, with only an hour or two free just now. So I went for a walk, across Paral-lel, down Tamarit and back up Mistral. It's the same area I commuted through every day for most of a week last year when I was here for MWC, so I kind of knew where I was.
Saw a couple of signs on the way outside an apartment block:
"Us Exclusio Bombers"
I don't think it's the local Al'Quaeda HQ - I believe bombers is the local word for firemen, and the signs mark fire hydrants...
Meanwhile in the hotel, the room service breakfast menu offers me:
"Assorted Bakeries"
Yum, but I'm not sure I could eat a whole one. Maybe I'll have the "Scrumbled eggs" instead.
